website design
To design is to “[devise a] course of action aimed at changing existing situations into preferred ones.” H. Simon
Information Design @ MRU
The new ID website for MRU focuses on providing information needed by students looking to apply to the program and their parents. It also showcases student work and advertises upcoming events. The concept behind the design is challening the lack of understanding around the meaning of Info Design and its impact on our communities and our planet.
Dr. Jody Carrington
We’ve been lucky to work with Dr. Jody Carrington for over a year. During this time, we’ve re-designed her logo and web site (www.drjodycarrington.com), created 100s of presentation slides, developed a newsletter campaign, and consulted on scores of other cool projects. Jody is a registered psychologist, an author, an international speaker, and an all around incredible soul.
Canadian Society for Digital Humanities
The Canadian Society of Digital Humanities/Société canadienne des humanités numériques is a Canada-wide association of representatives from Canadian colleges and universities that began in 1986. The Society’s objective is to draw together humanists who are engaged in digital and computer-assisted research, teaching, and creation. Milena is the appointed web master until 2019. She redesigned the CSDH website in 2017.
TAPoR: Text Analysis Portal for Research
TAPoR is a discovery research tool portal for textual study. It contains links to tools for humanities research, reviews of these tools, and sample projects. Users can browse tools by type or tag, search and use tools, read and create tool reviews, contribute and advertise tools. We have been involved in the TAPoR project since its inception in 2010.
Old Bailey
The Proceedings of the Old Bailey,1674-1913, is a “fully searchable edition of the largest body of texts detailing the lives of non-elite people ever published, containing 197,745 criminal trials held at London’s central criminal court.” We were comissioned to re-design the look-and-feel of the site as well as key, data-rich pages.
Tax Service Calgary
Our client asked us to re-brand Tax Service Calgary with an updated logo, new website, all new written content, and customized social media presence. The client’s mission is to provide high-quality tax accounting representation, for both personal and business needs. Our website design focused on approachability and ease of use in order to reduce the stress and intimidation factor that’s often association with tax preparation. (Our client, Michael Woodlock, passed away in 2017. He is greatly missed.)
