This design is based on 3 elements: (1) the Gala’s core theme – Road to Hope; (2) the UNICEF Canada’s tagline – For every child health, education, equality, protection; and (3) the existing UNICEF brand. We combined these three elements into one unified design. The thin line acts as a winding path, out of which emerge four young figures. A boy and a girl playing soccer showcase health; a young woman carrying goods back to her village represents protection (to move freely according to your own desire can only happen if you have protection from persecution or acts of violence); a young man jumping into the air celebrates equality; and a girl reading a book engages in her education. The outline of the figures construct the road to hope.
